Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is to give a retired horse the ability to move freely and graze most of the day and live in a herd in 3 to 5 acre pastures.

Depending on your horse we have stalls with covers so that your horse can be fed supplements and extra hay without sharing.

We also accept Lay-ups - sometimes a horse that is injured needs to be in a pasture setting, moving freely and in general just being a horse.

We've had excellent success with horses that arrive at the retirement ranch with lameness and in a year or less become servicable and sound

.We are not just a retirement ranch. At this time there are two young horses that have been with us for a year. They live in a pasture with calm older horses. They learn from the adults how to behave and pick up manerisms and calmness the older horses offer. Having young horses at Four Points Ranch provides entertainment and keeps things lively. Plenty of room and exposure to life on the ranch can lead to a happy horse with a calm mind.
